Distribution of Anthopleura artemisia in British Columbia in British Columbia

Introduction


Common in shallow water and up to 10 cm in diameter. Usually green in colour with conspicuous white bands along each tentacle. Hosts a symbiotic green alga which gives it the green colour. Lives buried in soft sediments up to the level of the oral disc.
